If you were as heartbroken as we were to hear the news of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp's split, then this may or may not ease your pain. Just before the couple announced their break up, Vanessa dropped a few hints that there was some trouble in paradise.
In an interview for the September issue of Harper's Bazaar, the French model spoke pretty candidly about love and how unstable it can be. “Love is the strongest and most fragile thing we have in life,” she told the magazine. According to the New York Post, Vanessa gave this particular interview just two days before her split became public. She even commented on relationship failure:
Nothing is ever for sure, but when something in love doesn’t work from the beginning, it’s never going to work. Don’t push it.
After 14 years with Johnny Depp, we can't help but wonder if Vanessa is talking about her former relationship. Could it be that the two weren't the gorgeous match made in heaven that we thought they were right from the beginning? So while we're sure we'll continue to see the fashion darling at parties and shows, we definitely have an added respect for how frank she is about her troubles with love. And, hey, with two kids and a huge modeling career, we think there's plenty for Vanessa to be positive about.
