The Canadian singer revealed the news via his Twitter account, saying ‘just did a voice over for the SIMPSONS!!!’. However, Justin quickly removed the post, perhaps being ordered to by his management.
Since then it has officially been confirmed by The Simpsons producer Al Jean, who has confirmed that Justin will play himself in the show.
Al Jean went on to say “He tries to get into a talent show that Bart is playing piano in and they won't admit him,'”
He also quipped “Draw your own conclusions” before saying “It's a cameo, but all of his fans should watch every minute of the show, before and after he's on.”
Justin is the latest in a long line of big named celebs to be confirmed as guest starring in the show’s latest run. A few of the other confirmed celebs are actor Steve Carell, New Girl star Zooey Deschanel, Edward Norton and Natalie Portman.
The episode will be a part of the 24th series of the show, which will begin airing on the 30th of September in America.
