1. Justin Bieber remains the most popular entertainer on the planet based on YouTube view stats. His musical video clip "Baby" adds about 10 million views within last month, totaling approximately 774 MegaViews (as a reminder, prefix Mega stands for one million views; correspondingly, GigaView means one billion views, by analogy with all that GigaBytes and GigaHz on your computer). This stratospheric popularity index far exceeds the entire population of USA, Canada [2] and Mexico combined, accounting for more than 1/3 of global Internet users’ base (about 2.267 billion as per [3]). The aggregated number of views for all of his hit songs available on YouTube is getting close to 2.5 billion, which is more than 1/3 of the world population, and also exceeding the entire Internet community head count.
2. “On The Floor” performed by Jennifer Lopez is going figuratively through the roof accounted for more than 588 MegaViews, thus outnumbering the entire population of North America.
3. Eminem and Rihanna’s collaborative song “Love The Way You Lie” is gaining a lot of popularity, reaching now more than 490 MegaViews marks and residing at the 3rd place. It’s also relevant to mention, that Eminem is currently ranked #1 the most popular entertainer-celebrity on Facebook (more than 60 MegaLikes and counting).
4. "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" performed by Shakira, moved to the 4th line, currently flying over the 489 MegaViews.
5. Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" is totaling about 484 MViews, very close to “Waka Waka”: actually, still not that bad for the bad romance (LOL).

Notably, 9 of Top 10 most popular YouTube items belong to music-video genre, and only one of them (namely “Charlie bit my finger - again!”) represents the Internet humor video genre, also widely popular among amateur web enthusiast.
The entrance level to the YouTube Top10 popularity club is raised to 358 MViews; for YouTube Top100 the corresponding number is currently about 128 MViews: notably, neither Madonna, nor Michael Jackson are present in YouTube Top100 the list, though Michael Jackson's account of Facebook with more than 51 million Likes resides on the 5th position in Facebook celebrity chart.
The grand total number of views calculated for Top100 most popular YouTube videos of all genres currently exceeds 21.5 GigaViews (as a reminder, prefix Giga stands for billion), which is about 3 times the human’s population of our planet.
