Justin Bieber Shares New Tattoo As Battle For Most Share-Worthy Video Rages ... - MTV.com

If you're Justin Bieber, there's no better way to show off a new tattoo than by tweeting a photo of it to your nearly 28 million followers.

"New tattoo its a crown if you couldn't tell," Bieber wrote.

In spite of the raised eyebrow and slight grimace on his face in the picture, the triple VMA nominee seemed happy to show off his brand new ink over the Labor Day weekend. It might even be a welcome distraction from the heated race between the Biebs and One Direction, who've been slugging it out for Most Share-Worthy Video at Thursday's big show.

Bieber has yet to explain the significance of the new ink, but it's a crown that sits high on the right side of his chest, just below the shoulder. The crown marks the 18-year-old's seventh tattoo to date; the first was a tribute to Jonathan Livingston Seagull that the pop star got with his dad on his 16th birthday.

Justin's other tats include Japanese lettering for "music"; one named for his Believe album; the face of Jesus on his calf; and some Hebrew lettering.

When Bieber wasn't tweeting about his ink, he's been campaigning for the coveted Most Shareworthy VMA. Fans have been helping him in massive numbers, giving him 23 million votes for "Boyfriend" at press time, (1D got and 23.5 million for "What Makes You Beautiful").

"[I] want no arguments with my fans with others," Bieber tweeted to his fans in an attempt to cool the flames between rival fanbases. "No need for that. if i can be friends with other artists we can be friends with other fans."

The singer also poked a bit of fun at himself for snapping several shirtless pics to keep his fans, er, encouraged, to keep voting. "Im thinking to myself "wow really justin 3 shirtless pics in 3 days"?" he joked. "Who do i think i am a young @Mark_Wahlberg sheesh lol."
